“Know the one thing that liberates everything, awareness itself, your true nature.”
~ Tibetan Buddhist teaching
The journey of awakening your heart’s deepest longing is a quest for freedom and happiness. It can be challenging, fun, interesting and rewarding, bringing wisdom and insight to those who chose to follow it. It is a journey to discover our authentic Self.
In order to realize our truest creative potential, we first must be willing to shed old stories of limitation — stories that bind our hearts and hold us back — thus freeing ourselves so we can live lives that are happy and contented. Awareness is the door to this freedom.
Shadow Work is the key. Shadow Work is one of the most profound ways to navigate through mental stories and tough emotions and transform them to reflect our deepest nature: pure, shining awareness. Each of us has our shadow side. Perhaps we are deeply familiar with it; perhaps we haven’t yet glimpsed its power. Most of us are somewhere in between.
Our shadow is the unknown, the frightening in us, the thing we avoid. When we shine the light on these parts of ourselves, something miraculous happens: we start seeing what is behind the distortion. We realize there is nothing within us that needs to be forgiven. We begin to shift from knowledge to wisdom as we connect with the reality of who we are. Eventually, it is this very work of engaging with our shadow that opens our hearts and allows our full potential to manifest and incarnate. Our lives become lighter and more meaningful as we move beyond the stories that once controlled us.
Because Shadow Work addresses the deep root causes and not just the symptoms, it is highly effective for working with specific issues such as stress management, anger/frustration, depression, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, creative blocks, addition, self-harming, eating disorders, and healing emotional pain. It is also excellent work for improving business management skills, communication, and clarity about your life’s work. If you currently feel stuck, in pain, lost, or even just vaguely unhappy, Shadow Work can help you uncover the source of these feelings, reveal your own innate tools for shifting your emotions, and connect you back to your own inner wisdom.
